The Speed of Technology in Relation to Human Need

In "Binding" project, I curated three different writings to reflect on how our ideas about technology and the spaces we live in have changed over time. Marinetti's "The Futurist Manifesto" celebrates machines as powerful tools that can push society forward. On the other hand, McGuirk's "Honeywell, I'm Home!" echoed at how technology has quietly entered our homes and begun to shape daily life urging the digital surveillance. Last but not least, "The Good Room" by Frank Chimero asks how we can create digital and physical spaces that feel supportive, thoughtful, and truly good for people.

Colophon

This website is designed, coded, and curated by Soko Mungunsukh, exploring our relationship with technology from the early 1900s to the 2010s. The content is drawn directly from the following three articles:

The overall design is rooted in Neobrutalism, a digital design movement that embraces raw structure, stark borders, and unfiltered color. Typography is set in DM Sans for body text, prized for its geometric clarity and warmth, and Chivo Mono for headings and labels, chosen for its mechanical rhythm and monospace precision. Color is used deliberately: pink, green, and orange serve as accent signals that thread through each article, creating visual continuity across the experience. Built in 2025 using CSS & HTML.
